Megan Barry-Cotter – Aerial

Megan began her dance training in Sydney at the age of 4, studying many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap and hip hop as well as singing and acting. Furthering this, she then went on to complete full time performing arts courses with Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy and Plie, Groove n Shuffle School of Performing Arts on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Since then she has travelled the globe, performing in theatre shows, cabarets, varieties, casinos, theme parks, cruise ships and circuses all around the world. Her credits include the Moulin Rouge, Paris, Conrad Jupiters Casino, Gold Coast, Tokyo DisneySea Resort, Japan, the Costa Romantica and Marina and the P&O Arcadia cruiseships, Casino de la Vallee, Italy, JW Marriot Resort, Mumbai, Warner Bros Movieworld and Draculas Cabaret on the Gold Coast and 3 Palazzo Variete shows in Germany.

In 2006 she began training in Aerial Circus Arts at Trix Circus on the Gold Coast, learning disciplines such as Silks, Aerial Ring, Spanish Web, Static Trapeze, Hammock, Net, Contortion, Cube and Adagio. She debuted her Aerial Ring act at Palazzo Frankfurt in Germany in 2010 and the Tui Mein Schiff 1 in 2011 marked her first contract at sea as an aerial artist. She then donned her fangs and suspenders to perform for 2 years as a flying, spinning vampire at Draculas’ Theatre. Megan now performs for Aerial Angels both locally and internationally for corporate gigs and major events. She also coaches for Aerial Angels’ Pro Course and teaches Yoga, Pilates and Barre.
